Dear Cholmondeley,

I understand that to-day the office has sent to you some Coachbuilders' drawings of proposed bodies for the 25 H.P. Rolls-Royce you have on order, from Mulliners of Chiswick and Park Ward, and that the designs from Weymann (England) are expected but have not come in yet.

Obviously these drawings are intended to give you something to bite on and cut about in any way that occurs to you.

The disadvantage of course of one door only, is the undesirable breadth it becomes, which is of course not a help in respect of long-life of hinges, and is inclined to be rather embarrassing if you pull up in Bond St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} and your efforts at getting out of the car result in sweeping into the road a perambulator with nurse and children complete (I have experienced this). Also, you should decide whether you are keen on having the hinges forward or aft; I always feel that having the hinges forward gives one a feeling of security from the point of view of a door possibly swinging open when you are running.

I have had a careful talk with our Experimental Dept. about this Chassis for you, and they take the view that they are quite willing to accept
