To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X7370. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/LG24.2.27. RE, FRICTION ON EAC.VII SERVO LINKAGE. The friction arrangement for the swinging link on EAC.VII is unsatisfactory. We give below a report from GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} We should be obliged if you would look into this matter. "The spring G.75326 does not give the required load. We get a max. load of 16 lbs. and we require 25 lbs. We have taken this matter up with the D.O. but they say it is a question of design. At the present time we have packed the spring up on 14-EX to overcome front brake thumps but this will have to be changed before the car is finished off". GWH.{George W.
