Re Extended Exhaust Pipes.

With reference to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/KT6.3.33., I note that 40/50 HP. chassis will now be coming through on test with the fish tail flush with the back cross member, and I think this fitting will meet practically all the requirements of the present day body, especially if, in the case of swept-back bodies, we get the Coachbuilders to box up any pocket on the back of the body immediately over, or at the rear of, the fish tail.

There will, of course, be exceptional cases - one has come to our notice to-day, Chassis No. 44 MY, Khairpur, on which Hoopers say the body extends 28" to the rear of the present fish tail.
