This is to confirm that you will arrange with Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} to try a certain number of 20/25 HP. carburetters with the vertical ventilation duct, together with its short horizontal lead increased from .250 to .343 diameter if possible, or failing this, to .312 diameter. We have completed a design mod. for the permanent alteration to the float chamber ventilation, and are issuing this this morning. We are however somewhat doubtful about the proposed change to the throttle and slow running device, and we are going into this further with the Experimental Department.
