| No. (3). Bijur Vibrator Regulator & Dynamo. Vibrating metallic contacts in series with field winding, and shunted by a resistance. Field winding also shunted by another resistance. Single operating coil on voltage only in the first instance, but later a series coil has been added as shown dotted on the diagram. (For diagram see attached sheet). There is a top speed limit to the operation of this regulator when the speed is high enough for the excitation with contacts open ( and therefore resistance in series with field of dynamo) to produce the regulated voltage. | ||
