EXTERNAL CHASSIS DYNAMO REGULATOR SCHEMES. 88w 141w LOAD (1) Aero type U.B. Dynamo & Regulator. Single pair of carbon contacts in series with dynamo field. Resistance according to varying pressure. The main operating coil assisted by secondary coil in parallel with field coil. No top speed limit to regulation. across voltage LOAD (2) R.{Sir Henry Royce} Bosch Dynamo & Regulator. A variable resistance composed of a quantity of carbon granules between the metal plates connected in series with the dynamo field winding. The main operating coil is across the voltage; a tapping is taken to an auxiliary contact which is made when the pressure on the carbon granules is sufficiently removed by the action of the regulator. This auxiliary contact connects the field as a shunt across the first few turns of the main operating coil which are of heavier wire than the remainder. The result is that there is no top speed limit to the action of the regulator. | ||
