R.H. Harvey Bailey, Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
DERBY.
Dear Sir,
We have your letter of the 24th inst. having further reference to nitruration steel.
In reply we beg to confirm that we shall be pleased to supply a crankshaft forging at the price of your ordinary crankshaft stampings.
In this case we would propose arranging to supply a hand forged shaft, particularly as it is necessary to allow rather more than usual for machining purposes.
Doubtless you will let us hear further in due course, when the type of crankshaft is decided upon.
Yours faithfully,
THE FIRTH-DERIHON STAMPINGS LIMITED.
(signed) E.H. Henderson.
Works Manager.
