Having done this you will be in a position to say what cost reduction you expect on these bodies. You will, of course, want some quantities to work to.

You can assume that these custom built cars will have the advantage of the overhead cost reductions, brought about by 10 B.V's going through the shop per week. Also, that you will make them in batches of 100, and that you can order material for batches of 500 at a time.

If the final price of the body, coupled with the price of the chassis, is sufficiently attractive we should imagine that you will be able to sell at least 200 of these bodies per year.

This means a production at the rate of 4 per week if the bodies are to be flowing continuously through the Shops.

If there is any further information which you want from us to enable you to complete this analysis we shall be glad if you will let us know.

I expect you heard the figures which Mulliner's of Birmingham quoted for limousine bodies with divisions, on Wraith chassis before the war, in batches of 200. This of course, was less than £300 and would make a Silver Wraith limousine possible at less than £1,000.

Yours sincerely,
