EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}1/IH.5.4.34. re:- SPECTRECodename for Phantom III. With reference to E.1/HP.2.7.34., concerning the mock-up model of the frame, radiator, bonnet, etc., of the SPECTRECodename for Phantom III, we note the suggestion that you should mock-up a sample wing which will fit the model in Derby. The writer is coming to Derby as soon as possible to do what he can to assist. We would then like to bring this wing to London and fit it up on our mock-up chassis here with the body. We should then get the Park Ward expert wing makers to work at the shape in conjunction with ours, producing a pair of wings in their own material which we could use on the body. The reason we suggest this procedure is that we are very anxious to get the full co-operation of the Coachbuilders in making the best possible shape for the wings on this rather novel chassis.
