Purpose of test.

To compare a third system against the two already tested in the above report.

Part under test.

Compared with the systems mentioned in the previous report, and in particular, the experimental system using a double outlet manifold EB.4092.

This double outlet manifold is replaced by the single increased capacity manifold Am.75, which was developed for and used in the 1936 Tourist Trophy Race.

A similar type of intermediate silencer is used, and connected to the manifold by a single downtake of 2.750" bore. In other respects (Cutout etc.) the system is the same as the experimental one above

Method of Test.

The development unit for the Continental Bentley was used for this comparison.
