(2) Neither had lack of lubrication which in his experience would shew itself first on the cages. (3) Increasing ball diameter with a consequent reduction in the number of balls would not be a sufficient improvement to be worth doing. (4) He did not think shocks in gear changing were much to do with it, and pointed out that at least half these shocks come on the otherrace which shewed no signs.
