Mr. R.{Sir Henry Royce} S. Mitchell, on a 16/20 HP Straker-Squire established fresh times for the flying kilometre & flying mile in the 21-rating class.

Mr Mitchell also made an attempt on the half mile flying record, his time being 18.54 secs, which gives a speed of 97.09 miles per hour. This was barely one second outside the record. a he was awarded a certificate for the performance.
