Re. Chassis B.11-AE. - Order 67148
With reference to G/Rb.{R. Bowen}15/A/W.16.4.35. requesting a report on the condition of the front springs removed from the above Chassis.
We have ascertained from the Repair Department that the Front Axle and Springs were delivered together to this Department, but there is definitely no record of these parts having passed into our Stores, which should have been the correct procedure.
Furthermore, we have without success, endeavoured to trace the springs through the people who were responsible for testing the Front Axle.
We can only suggest the Repair Department are asked to say where the parts in question were actually placed, when delivered to this Department.
