(4) 2nd. point, to see if trussing or deepening the frame, keeps the alignment more constant. 3rd. The introduction of small amount of elasticity in or about the coupling (I have much faith in this as being of practical application). 4th Lengthen the coupling to give less wear and variation of speed for given want of alignment. 3rd is a new idea, and may be patentable. We have plenty of elasticity between the rear road wheels and the central brake drum, but practically none between the central brake drum and the engine flywheel. This seems to me the point.
