contd :- -2- touring speeds on an average road, we should like you to try ballast xxxxxx until you consider you have reached the limit of freedom from hitting the buffers. This test should be carried out with the shock absorber setting which you find to be the most satisfactory for average conditions. Having found the load which the car can carry with the springs fitted, will you please check the front and rear buffer clearance and let us have the figures. STEERING. We have done tests on the steering here and find that the best spring load in the cross steering tube ball ends is obtained by setting the spring up a total of .245". This makes its working length 2.280" and the load on the ball 1525 lbs. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
