RR 755 (10H) (DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}130 12-9-24) MS 301225 X8510 COMPLETED 26.5.26 STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS. Date 8510 / 5510 / X No.s 3579 X No. 22.4.26 Description of Parts: SPECIAL VALVE FOR AUTOVAC. Origin: To reduce effect on slow running. Experimental Test Report: It has been proved that when the Autovac is exhausted and very rich mixture is drawn into the induction pipe, this upsets the slow running. The makers of the Autovac recommend fitting an extra valve on the induction pipe which makes the Autovac practically inoperative when the depressions in the induction pipe exceed 7 lbs. Road Test Report: Run 10,000 miles on 8-EX. 12 of these fittings have been supplied for trials cars and special customers complaints - we have had no trouble with them. Part List Actions: A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in works. C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test. D Use existing stock Alteration effective on future Chassis. Weight of Old Part. Cost of Old Part: £ 2. 2. 0 Weight of New Part. Cost of New Part: £ 2. 6. 0 Difference per Car. Difference per Car: £ 4. 0d. increase. Signature of Mr. De LOOZE that above is correct. My/Rb.{R.
