We have tried the stiffened clutch cover, N.Sch.4502, on B-5 unit in a Test Dept. car. This cover certainly overcame our trouble of the clutch pedal rising, but caused an engine vibration round 3300 r.p.m. sufficiently bad for everyone to agree it would not be accepted. We next fitted a similar cover to 21-G-IV and at the same time also the lightened fingers and cartridges. Again engine vibration caused us to revert to the original scheme. We shall now try the lightened parts in the existing cover. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
