We believe in the automatic shock damper control we have a scheme which should place us right ahead of other makers on riding and springing. We think it has outstanding merits and should prove very valuable especially if we have been able to get it well protected. We want to take advantage of it as soon as possible because the shock absorber specialists are right on the job and the Delco have announced a new automatic controlled damper by inertia. We have already asked the Works to keep the stocks of shock absorbers at present designed as low as possible. The gearboxes both for Phantom, 25 HP, and Peregrine are arranged so that the governor control can be used. Peregrine, of course, will start off with the latest type shock dampers ready for the control. Although the automatic control will add to the Works cost we think it should in the end prove an economy, because it should save a considerable amount of money in servicing cars. We are arranging to send a 40/50 car to France early next month. This car is chiefly going for sales demonstrations but we are arranging that after the demonstrations are over we shall be able to get a run on this car with the latest automatic control dampers with the over-riding hand control.
