EFC c.By X8672 Mx{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}5/T27.6.27. re Phantom Dynamos - EFC3/J9.6.27. The originally noisy dynamo TH65 to which you fitted a 28 slot armature has been tried on 3 different chassis, and is now quite a good machine for absence of electrical noise. The brushes are rather noisy and appear to require rebedding. The output is rather high. It will probably be advisable for us to have a number of these dynamos to try.
