Modifying and standardizing aero engine endurance test routines.

- 2 - routine and tackle accordingly. We shall also be glad to hear from you whether you will agree to the attached test routine, as we have not yet definitely agreed to this. I shortly expect that the 3 hour Endurance Test will be reduced to 2 hours, as this matter is now receiving the serious consideration of the Air Board. Apart from the H.P. required for the Endurance Test, which I think should still further be reduced, (we now run 225 H.P. at 1950 revs.) the scheme of this routine of test I think is quite good, as it certainly enables us to obtain and put on record a good engine performance. It also more approaches the conditions of running in service. I recommend that we should try and get the Air Board to standardise this system of routine test for all Aero engine work. EP.{G.
