Crewe/Hythe Road To: Mdx From: FS{F. Steele} c: JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary} Le Der Gry{Shadwell Grylls} SF JPB PS/BJT FS.{F. Steele}GM 21 2nd September, 1957 89T Having read memo. ref. JS.{Mr Johnson's Secretary} 13/KEM 22.8.57, we also are very concerned about the complaints that are being made on the wearing qualities of the hides being used on 'S' Series cars. As Mdx has now confirmed that we are having complaints from customers on the deterioration of both grey and blue hides would he please endeavour to obtain for us either a seat that has developed the faults, or alternatively the faulty hides that have been removed from a seat as a result of a complaint. It would be of more practical value if we could obtain a seat as removed from a car, even if we replaced this with a new seat from Crewe, as it is possible that the deterioration is caused by something in the construction of the general build-up of the upholstery. I should be pleased to hear what you can do in this direction. FS{F. Steele} | ||
