TO BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to CJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RE. 20.HP. CHASSIS MAGNETO BRACKET FOR NEW TYPE MAGNETO. X 3557 In reply to your BY7/P21623. it is a little uncertain at the present moment where the position of the magneto bracket will finally be arranged. Owing to the fact that it is desired to equip some Goshawks with L.H. steering it is likely that the magneto will be moved about 1/8" towards the rear of the car for the purpose of obtaining clearance between the magneto coupling and the steering box. It is hoped that this point will be decided today on the scheme in question and the information regarding the magneto bracket will then be sent to you at the earliest possible moment for the purpose of arranging the necessary instructions regarding production.
