- 2 - We found a definite improvement in the clutch, which functioned perfectly the whole time I was driving the car; the steering which is free from joggle and very delightful to handle now; the change of gear which functions quite well so long as one does not hurry the changes too much and the absence of chunking in the drive, which did not become evident at all. We feel that we can do some very useful demonstration work with this car as it now is. Regarding 34-EX, this has now done 10,751 miles and is still running very well. This car, however, is pinking badly now even with the use of Ethyl and even though the ignition be retarded. This pinking persists until over 30 m.p.h. The clutch does not require such frequent doping as it originally did but there is still a trace of snatching at times. The s/m mechanism does not function as well as one would like, and the steering still tends to joggle. The tyre noises are of course still very prevalent, and the slow running is not as good as 35-EX. Otherwise there is nothing special to report about this car, but we thought you would like to have these few brief details as a guide Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Lw6 | ||
