1332 c. to Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} c. to Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls}2/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 8th March, 1937. Messrs. Dunlop Rubber Co.,Ltd., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, BIRMINGHAM. For the attention of A.{Mr Adams} Healey, Esq. Dear Sirs, Replying to your letter of the 5th March, we should like you to supply us with 7 x 18 tyres and 6 x 19 tyres from the altered moulds as soon as possible. We realise that these will not have the variable pitch but only the fully tied shoulders with knife cuts. We hope you will make sure when changing from the present tyre to the new tyre that we shall not temporarily be short of supplies. With regard to your last paragraph, we do not think it will be worth while our having any further tyres from the variable pitch 7 x 18 mould. We should be glad if you would let us know in the Experimental Department the exact time at which you effect the changeover. Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
