Acting on this assumption, I wrote to your London office and received a reply from Maj. Cox to the effect that it would be of more interest to the Company if I took the car to the Works but that he would be glad to see what I had done next time I was in Town.
I had to go to London on business on Thursday and I called at the Offices. Major Cox examined the gauges and pointed out that as he is not a technical man he was unable to express any opinion but that he was sure the electrical department at the Works would like to see them.
I am writing, therefore, to enquire if this is the case and, if so, I should be pleased to drive up to Derby one day next week and show you what I have done. At the same time I have one or two other ideas I should like to put forward.
Yours faithfully,
W. Wykeham. A.{Mr Adams} Robinson
