Dear Mr. Robotham,

Many thanks for the time and trouble which you went to to demonstrate the tyre noises on the Bentley.

I feel that the tests which were carried out were quite conclusive and we shall do everything possible to let you have another set of 6.50/17 tyres with a modified tread design within the course of the next week or so.

Could you let me have a measurement (on the arc) of the tread width of the Dunlop tyre which you showed me? On thinking the matter over, it appears to me that the tread width on this tyre has been reduced below normal and I should like to have a check.

Please also convey my thanks to Mr. Grylls.

Yours faithfully,
INDIA TYRE & RUBBER COMPANY, LTD.

Paul Worth.
Works Manager.
