To RG.{Mr Rowledge} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to E.B. By c. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} X1770 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG13. 9:28. MAGNETO & VALVE TIMING. X1770 SUPERCHARGED ENGINES. --------------------- Magnetos. These should be synchronised to fire 40º BTDC. in the fully advanced position - the timing to be checked electrically by 'pealamp' method, breaking the primary circuit. Valves. The valve timing should be the same as on the standard F.Xl. and F.Xll (normal) engine. A + 2º allowance (2º later all round) on I.O. I.C. E.O. E.C. should be called for. (We should ask for this on normal engines also). Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
