Magnetos.
These should be synchronised to fire 40º BTDC. in the fully advanced position - the timing to be checked electrically by 'pealamp' method, breaking the primary circuit.

Valves.
The valve timing should be the same as on the standard F.Xl. and F.Xll (normal) engine.
A + 2º allowance (2º later all round) on I.O. I.C. E.O. E.C. should be called for.
(We should ask for this on normal engines also).
