Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x 4960. To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re 40/50 HP. 58-GN. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}10/E10931 87005, Copy to R.{Sir Henry Royce} Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} PN.{Mr Northey} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} [struck through] Thanks for Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/MJ.9.9.31. I am pleased to note that the WW design of diamond engine mounting provides for auxiliary feet at the rear which would prevent the engine dropping to any extent if the 7 3/8" bolts at the back were to fail. I rather gathered from your Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/MJ.3.9.31 that this was not provided for on this scheme because you mentioned that 25-EX has no more support than/58-GN. I note that, if I can let you have 58-GN any time after this next week-end, you expect to be able to carry out the work in about a week, and I will let you know exactly when it is coming as soon as the Schneider is over.
