This instrument is made in the shape of a thick pencil, the outside being a case of what appears to be polished ebonite, with a brass nose for point. In the side, near the point end, is a small slot opening or window, through which can be seen part of a glass tube running lengthwise inside. When being used, the brass point is placed against the H.T. terminal of the gap or plug to be tested, when flashes of light will appear in the tube, varying in brightness according to the condition of the plug. There are four conditions of the plug, which, it is claimed, will result in the following indications being given by Signed Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
