| RR 238 (300 Bks.) (SF 152. 6-11-18.) MP 197880 ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. INSTRUCTIONS. To: E.F.C. Order No: P.B. 44 Customer's No: X. the Ignition Tester. Conditions amounting to:- 1 Open, or short circuit line, of plug. No flashing. 2 appreciable (crossed out) Leakage across plug. Dim or irregular flashing. 3 Normal plug. Regular, medium flashing. 4 Plug points too wide. Bright flashing. Tested on the spark gaps of the battery ignition and magneto, the following results were obtained. For condition:- 1 No flash. Occasional faint flash (inductive) for remaining gaps. 2 Dim flash in response to sparks at all gaps. 3 Medium flash for test gap, and inductive flashes (medium to dim) in response to remaining five gaps. arrange at (in left margin) 4 Bright flash for test gap; medium to dim for other gaps.
