Y.832. HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Rm. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 4/AD. July 8th, 1932. Mr. Fred Wright, General Motors, The Hyde, Hendon. Dear Mr. Wright, We note that Vauxhall are fitting the Delco hydraulic shock dampers. We are wondering whether these shock dampers are being made in England. You will appreciate that one of the factors which prevent us fitting Delco shock absorbers is that they are an American production. One other point is, how often do you have to refill the Delco dampers that you have under observation? Do you find that for some obscure reason they repeatedly lose oil? Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
