Special Touring Saloon Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux}9/K.W.16.3.34. We have discussed with Messrs. Hooper the fitting of their luggage grid to the chassis. It is essential that the shoulder of the vertical pin should be 7.000 above the centre line of the rear chassis cross tube. (See awing). The main forging is placed on the chassis frame and moved up and down it until the position giving this dimension is arrived at. The holes in the chassis are those drilled by us for fitting our own luggage grid. The forging is marked off in position and drilled to suit. We return the print of C.1533 herewith. You will have received our wire to the effect that the body will be ready to be collected on Tuesday March 20th at midday. Will you please arrange with Messrs. Sanderman & Holmes to do the mounting and inform the writer when they will be commencing work. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} [Handwritten note] luggage grid not being fitted | ||
