R.R. 22.8.23. wmi HP Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. Nightingale Road, DERBY. Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr. Rowledge. We thought you would like your personal attention drawn to the new wick-feed Shackle Bolt in combination with our/lift-lid{A. J. Lidsey} Oiler, illustration and sample of which we enclose. Here at last we have something which ensures the lubricant getting all round the Bolt, which cannot be claimed for any other system, even including the Grease Gun. It is clean and effective, and it takes considerably less time for the Owner Driver to oil up with an oil can than it does to lubricate with a grease gun. We think this is worthy of your consideration. Yours faithfully, P.P. THE BRITISH PISTON RING CO., LTD. [Signature: William A.{Mr Adams} Oubridge] Managing Director. Stamp: R&D AUG 13 1923 Illus.
