| -2- (2) HIGHLY DESIRABLE. Highly desirable but will take some time to complete. (a) New crankchamber upper and lower halves, stronger & lighter. (b) Modified valve tappets and push rods. (c) Modified oil pump drive and oil filter. (d) Plain bearing zr carrier wheel. (e) Cast iron cyl. blocks of simple shape to suit item (2) a, having longer jackets and shorter skirts. (f) Cyl. head - slight modification to suit item (2) e.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} (g) Modified oil gallery pipe in crankcase and bearing connections. (h) Modified Oil relief valves and low pressure connection to head on steering side. (i) Modified undershields. (j) Improved cam forms. (k) Narrowed Wheels and lightened hubs. ------------------ (3) NON-CONTROVERSIAL. Parts that need no controversy because they can be done without delay. (a) Single downtake exhaust manifold to suit parallel control to front axle and injector exhaust heating for ind. pipe. (b) Alum. water pump and revised water inlet pipe. (c) Ignition wiring improved. (d) Magnesium alloy valve gear cover. (e) Front x axle - shorter rubber buffers, no packing under springs. (f) Framed instruments. ------------------ (4) DESIRABLE. Not so very necessary but desirable to improve. (a) Accessible oil drain cock in crankchamber. (b) Induction pipe with improved cold distribution and hot water jacket instead of exhaust. (c) Frame - only small changes - perhaps sides carried further back towards the wheel and luggage carrier. (d) New bonnet with new catches and lock. (e) Most recently improved steering. (f) Dropping car another 2" by lowering radiator in frame and dropping steering. (g) E.A.C. 7. type rear brakes (involving slight modification to rear spring centre pivot). This will be instructed immediately, but as several new dies are called for we think it may be some time before it is ready. (h) New solid torque tube.
