3. Connect the brass tube just fitted, to the large tube connector on the RESERVAC valve, using the rubber hose connector supplied. On some model RESERVACS (when the valve has a fitting provided) the brass tube can be connected direct on to the RESERVAC without using the rubber hose connector, using the same method as that described for attaching at the induction pipe.

4. Remove the rubber or brass tube from the induction pipe, which formerly operated the wiper and cut-off to a convenient length for attaching to the small tube on the RESERVAC valve. Plug the opening in the induction pipe from which the rubber or brass tube was removed. The RESERVAC is now ready to be adjusted for operating the wiper at the desired speed.

5. The adjusting screw on the RESERVAC valve should be turned out as far as possible, to allow the wiper to operate at a slow constant speed when the engine of the car is idling (i.e. not driving car). Turning the screw in will increase the speed of the wiper. FOR BEST RESULTS we recommend the wiper to travel at approximately sixty strokes (from side to side) per minute. This enables the wiper blade to properly clean the glass. Faster operation will affect the efficiency of the wiper blade and will not allow the RESERVAC to perform as effectively.

TESTS WITH THE RESERVAC prove that it gives continuous wiper operation under all normal driving conditions. Acceleration periods, at signals, etc. - have no effect on wiper speed. Under prolonged acceleration periods on steep hills, it is only necessary to momentarily release pressure of the throttle to fully charge RESERVAC (one second or less will fill tank). The RESERVAC automatically recharges each time gears are changed.

Before leaving the factory the RESERVAC has been tested and will definitely provide marked improvements when fitted, following the above instructions. The wiper must be in proper operating order, and we recommend that you communicate with our authorised service stations or write direct to us for any attention you may require.
