Hancock - Head Chateauroux}36/N.12.11.37. Phantom III - Tappet Filter. With regard to your memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}9.11.37, the sludging up of the tappet filter after a small mileage has been reported previously and the frequent cleaning necessary led to the damage of the unions, which has been dealt with. The average mileage that the tappet filter becomes sludged up is 800, drivers coming into the Depot have been asked to clean the filter every 500 miles to be on the safe side. The buckling up of the main filter is still found after approx. 2000 miles. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} | ||
