CENTRALISED LUBRICATION.

We should like to point out the trouble experienced with the unions, joints and nipple joints.
The aluminium washers do not appear to have a sufficient area of surface. The washers are easily flattened out under the pressure of the spanner with the result that no firm tightness is obtained and oil leaks are frequent from this cause.

This giving way of the washer also makes it very difficult to undo a union without twisting the pipes off, due to it not being firmly held in position i.e., washer having given way.
