Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/R21.3.39 ------ It was agreed some time ago that the customer had a right to expect five years' life on an average, and I think you will find the Depots are, generally speaking, acting accordingly; hence this charge of the Paris Depot (GEH-36). We are interested to note that you consider the average life of cars of other makes than our own in the Experimental Dept. to be about a year. I shall be interested to know what cars you are referring to as we may perhaps be able to ascertain what the average life is in the hands of private owners. C. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} B.J. has suggested 4 years. Wb.{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell} | ||
