Memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}17/KW.11.4.35 was gone through in detail together with E.1/HP15.4.35 being E's comments on the former. It was agreed that the third car - (the chassis for which is now ready and the body due before Easter) - should go to France as soon as it can be got ready with the correct type of brake adjustments, and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will let me know when this is likely to be. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} wishes to try the car before it goes to France. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} tried SpectreCodename for Phantom III Nos. I and II and a separate report is being written. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} made it clear that we were definitely losing orders for large cars to the big American cars. It is clear that the question of ordering more material for big cars will come up in about two months' time and it would be lamentable if we again had to order more Phantoms. Everything possible, therefore, must be done to push along with SpectreCodename for Phantom III with a view to arriving at something sufficiently good to go into production, without necessarily waiting for everything such as twin carburettors instead of | ||
