| EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COACHWORK SUB-COMMITTEE HELD IN LORD HERBERT SCOTT'S OFFICE ON FRIDAY, APRIL 28th, 1933. PRESENT : LHS.{Lord Herbert Scott} in the Chair. C. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Whr.{Mr Wheeler} Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} 1. Minutes of Last Meeting (13-4-33). These were read and confirmed. 2. FURTHER STANDARDISED BODIES. The Sub-committee was advised that Hoopers have offered to build a batch of twelve 20/25 Special Touring Saloons incorporating minor modifications at £458.0.0. nett each, which represents a reduction of about £11.10.0. of the price paid for each of the six bodies of the last batch. The Sub-committee was not prepared to be committed to so many as twelve bodies, and it was decided to offer Hoopers an order for ten, provided they would adhere to the reduced price. HN{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} Park Wards have now been told to go ahead with the further batch of twelve Standardised Saloons. So far as 20/25 Enclosed Limousines are concerned, Barkers have submitted a quotation of £450.0.0. nett per body in batches of ten. This offer is £60.0.0. in excess of what we have been paying Thrupp & Maberly, and would mean raising the price of the complete car from £1560 to £1630. Such an increase being out of the question, Barkers have been advised that we cannot accept their offer, and arrangements made to place with Thrupp & Maberly a repeat order for a further twelve bodies.
