Modifications to the Phantom III frame diagonal stays and exhaust system due to clearance issues with the main silencer.

When we fit the diagonal stays to the frame we find that the main exhaust silencer will be too close to the stays when it is lagged. We must have the lagging, therefore, there is nothing else to do but to drop the front end of the silencer. We send you herewith LeC.4957 showing the modifications to the system to make this practical. This consists of:- (1) A bent intermediate pipe immediately in front of the silencer.
