X.1402 Mr. Hives. Na{Mr Nadin}38/IE30314. X.1616 1690 X.1402 - DYNAMO REGULATORS. X.3560. X.3796. X.3231. X.796. X.950. Mr. Royce is asking whether the Bosch and Bijur dynamo regulators, which are both of the vibrating type, hum when in use, and whether the noise is at all disagreeable on a car. He also wishes to know whether the contacts used are platinum or carbon. He enquires in addition whether the Scott Carbon Regulator vibrates when in use. Will you kindly let me have replies to the various queries per return. TN. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} We have run the Bijur dynamo off the test engine, one cannot hear any noise from the regulator, of course any very slight noise would not be heard for the engine noise. The contact for the vibrator are made of platinum. I have never seen or tested a Bosch dynamo. The Scott regulator vibrates slightly when it first comes in and at high speeds, but it settles down and remains still, it is noiseless except for a slight click when it comes in. 3.4.14. EH. | ||
