95°C being reached in approximately 5 minutes. Whilst in this condition one has only to advance the ignition approx. 5 notches and the difference in the revs is sufficient to cause the water to circulate and the temperature to immediately drop to 75°C. We were surprised at the result the few extra revs made. It comes to this that you can get the throttle in exactly the same position in both cases, with the ignition lever retarded the water boils, with the ignition lever advanced the temperature is normal. Engine revs 200 and 290.

RE. CARBURBTTBR.

We thank you for your memo re. cleaning of the carburetter. We do not make a practice of cleaning the air valve. The trouble with this unit sticking is not so pronounced during the winter months as in summer as there is very little dust which in the summer months causes us frequent trouble with our air valve sticking. We will let you know if we have any further trouble in this respect.
