RE INSTRUMENTS AND BOARD. B.3.

Many thanks for your E.3/HP.II.II.32. re the above.

We are working hard to get a design for use on the first mock-up car. The writer is calling on the A.T. people tomorrow with a view to seeing what chances there are of getting a large size of speedometer and tachometer in a small oval patch with interior lighting. He is also going to see Messrs Smiths if possible, as they own the former company.

We note that we have to arrange for a hand control of the shock dampers. Hdy.{William Hardy} tells us that [REDACTED] Derby are doing the schemes for the controls for these dampers. Could you therefore send to us [REDACTED] a design for the control so that we can arrange our instrument board to suit? It will be appreciated that we can do little with the grouping of the instruments until we know what this control is like.
