W/S. To C. from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X3908 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/LG28.9.26. With reference to C10/C27.9.26. We quite believe that the alterations you mention as having been carried out by the Paris Depot, will have a beneficial effect upon the heated air entering the body. If Paris are satisfied that the scheme in question will withstand flying stones, which cause so much trouble on Continental roads, we see no objection to the scheme being fitted. From our own experience, however, we feel that the arrangement in question will be liable to disintegrate if the car was driven at high speeds on typically bad Continental roads.
