Re Over-size Tyres - X.917.

J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} for R.{Sir Henry Royce} No13/B18214.

c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}
c. Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}
c. Mr Southern.

With reference to Mr Royce's memo R10/P2214, enquiring whether over-size tyres could be obtained from any other people but the Continental Co., we wish to advise him that they may also be obtained from the Columb Tyre Co., who are the makers of the Prowodink Tyre.

We have been in communication with The Michelin Co. but they are unable to supply these tyres, and give their reasons in a letter copy of which is attached herewith.

We have also written the Dunlop Co. concerning this matter but they tell us they have not yet offered these tyres for sale, but are considering the matter and will communicate with us further in the course of the next few days.
