Dear Sirs,

We have run a set of the "low carbon" valve springs which you supplied to us a little while ago, one spring breaking in the second coil from the top.

This is at present being examined in the Laboratory, we later will let you have their observations.

In the meantime will you please produce for us 24 springs to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}260, again in the "low carbon" Swedish wire, these being urgent.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
