As we are now getting many questions put to us about this chassis, will you please give us the following information: Horse Power.- The 3½ litre Bentley, I understand, gives 84 HP. at the road wheels; 3750 revs. and 96 HP. on the bench at 3750 revs. Will you give me the increased figures for the bigger bore engine. As 3750 are not the maximum revs. perhaps you would also give me the figures at the maximum of 4750 revs. Will you also please say what is the increased petrol and oil consumption. As regards the higher axle ratio which Hm.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} indicated would have to be used to give 100 m.p.h. I take this to be 11/41. When replying to this would you please state if it is possible for such axle ratio to be supplied without incurring any delay, or whether these gears are not yet available for production chassis. At one time I believe you had a ratio of 11/43. Can you tell me if that is definitely dropped in favour of the 11/41. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} -Lues | ||
