the battery had been sent out charged by you, we recharged this at its normal rate for a time slightly greater than the normal, after which we exmptied out the acid, renewed this and charged again. From discharge tests we have made at normal discharge rate on this battery, we do not find anything more wrong with the battery than that its capacity seems to be rather less than one would expect.

Perhaps you could give us a few hints as to the best treatment of the battery under the circumstances.
