Reference Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}2/KW17.4.35. this matter was briefly discussed at the Technical Conference at W. on Tuesday, but it was decided that as we had sold the car in its present state it would be as well to leave the parts in connection with the hydraulic tappets on this engine. We are suitably advising the customer that he has some slight modification to the valve mechanism which he may appreciate having, and it is, I believe, considered that it might be instructive to let these hydraulic tappets continue in service in private hands. We are warning the customer also that when the engine requires decarbonising it should be done at N., who are now aware that this engine has hydraulic tappets. Cx.{Major Len W.
